            The following is a list of supplies necessary for science labs for the entire school year.  Parents, if you can help by bringing in any of the following items, I would appreciate it.  Keep track of any time you spend gathering the supplies and log this in as volunteer hours.  Any supplies that are crossed out are supplies I already have in stock.  Thank you!

Science 7 Lab Supplies (by category)

Produce

·      Potatoes (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

·      6 large lilies or similar flowers (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

Dairy

·      Hard boiled eggs (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

Household items

·      1 box Plastic bags with twist ties

·      1 roll Paper towels

·      6 Straight pins

Baking items

·      1 bottle Vinegar

·      1 box Food coloring

·      1 container salt

·      6 packets of dry powdered yeast

·      1 box of sugar

·      6 8x8 aluminum baking pans

Dry goods

·      1 bag pasta- various shapes

·      1 bag lima beans

·      1 bag rigatoni

·      1 bag cannelloni

·      1 bag ziti

Tools/Utensils

·      6 Butter knife

·      6 Tape measures

·      6 Hand lenses

·      6 meter sticks

·      6 droppers

·      6 stop watches

·      batteries

·      6 calculators (students have in box)

·      6 Small Metric rulers (students have in box)

·      1 box of rubber exam gloves (medium)

Garden Items

·      6 packs Radish seeds

·      1 bag Potting soil

·      6 leaves from a land plant (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

·      6 leaves from a floating water plant (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

·      12 leaves of the same kind of tree (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

·      12 earthworms (TIME SENSITIVE- ask before bringing in)

·      12 screw eyes

·      6 fishing floats

·      6 dowels, about 6 cm long

·      6 buckets

Craft/Stationery Items

·      3 packs Pipe cleaners

·      1 pack Styrofoam packing peanuts (stocked in closet)

·      2 packs Construction paper

·      1 pack small craft Pom poms

·      Paint (stocked in closet)

·      6 Glue

·      Scissors (students have in box)

·      1 pack Index cards

·      6 Black sharpies

·      1 pack White board markers

·      20 Blue marbles or stones

·      1 pack straws (NOT the bendy kind)

·      6 rubber balls, solid, 2.5-4.0 cm in diameter
